Beaumaris Restaurants: Where to Eat with a Group
Who can take a table of 10, who takes dogs, and what to book before you go.

Most Beaumaris restaurants sit on one street. You can eat three meals without moving the car. This guide is for groups. It shows who can take a table of 10, who takes dogs, and what to book before you go.
If you are looking for places to eat in Beaumaris, most of the choice is on Castle Street. Old inns, hotel dining rooms, tapas, an Indian kitchen, fish and chips, and gelato fill the gaps. For a Michelin star, drive 10 minutes to Menai Bridge.
Our Beaumaris holiday cottages are listed at the end, along with other Anglesey holiday cottages and holiday homes Anglesey guests often book for group stays. We also link to things to do in Beaumaris for the hours between meals.

Where to eat in Beaumaris
Eat on Castle Street in Beaumaris. The Bull and the Bulkeley serve from breakfast to 9pm every day. The Midland does tapas from 5pm on weekdays, and Bishopsgate holds an AA Rosette. Book dinner in summer and at weekends.

The Bull’s Head Inn
The Bull, or Ye Olde Bull's Head Inn, has stood on Castle Street since the 15th century. It serves Welsh pub food from 7.30am to 9pm every day. You can see the menus on the Bull's Head Inn website.
The Bulkeley Hotel
The Bulkeley Hotel has been looking out over Beaumaris pier since 1832, and it’s a handy one to know about because it covers most meals of the day. Dinner is at Hansom’s, or there’s the bistro if you’d rather keep things casual. The coffee lounge spills out onto a garden terrace (worth it on a sunny morning), and afternoon tea is served in the Llewelyn Suite, which makes it a good shout for a birthday or a slow last day.
Bishopsgate
Bishopsgate is a mint-green Georgian townhouse hotel with an AA Rosette restaurant. Expect local fish, Welsh lamb, Gressingham duck, and Welsh cheeses. It also has a large party set menu, which helps when there are 14 of you.
The Midland
The Midland is a tapas and wine bar at 38 Castle Street. It serves locally butchered meat on small plates and Basque-style stews on Sundays. Small plates suit a group that cannot agree on a main. The Midland's website takes bookings.
The Liverpool Arms and the George and Dragon
The Liverpool Arms is a family-run inn from 1706. It serves pub food at lunch and dinner, has a real fire, and welcomes dogs.
Workers built the George and Dragon on Church Street in 1410. Expect local seafood. Dogs are not allowed, apart from guide dogs.
Harry's Bistro
Harry's Bistro is at Henllys Hall, an 1880s mansion just outside town that is now a golf club. Chefs Simon and Nia cook seasonal bistro food on Wednesday to Saturday evenings from 6pm, plus Sunday lunch.
Curry, chips, cafes and gelato
- Sarisa Indian Kitchen, 17 Church Street: Indian food, eat in or take away.
- Neptune, 27 Castle Street: takeaway fish and chips, with a bistro upstairs. Eat them on the Green and watch the gulls.
- Pier House: a cafe and bistro on the seafront, open daily.
- Red Boat: Italian-style gelato on Castle Street. Try the Halen Môn salted caramel.

Which pubs in Beaumaris are dog friendly?
These Beaumaris pubs are the easiest choice if one of the group brings a dog. The Bull and the Liverpool Arms both take dogs. At the Bull, the front bar and lounge allow dogs only. The Bulkeley Hotel says dogs are welcome in its dining areas too. The George and Dragon is the exception: no dogs, apart from guide dogs. Walk them before the pint.
Y Delyn takes dogs with prior permission. Our other dog friendly cottages are on one page.
Where can a large group eat in Beaumaris?
For a large group in Beaumaris, start with the hotels. The Bulkeley has four dining options. Bishopsgate offers a large party menu. The Bull can take groups of 9 or more by request. A deposit is needed for groups larger than 8. Ring them before you arrive.
Can you book Sunday lunch at the Bull in Beaumaris?
Yes. The Bull serves Sunday lunch from noon to 5pm, and you can book a table. Groups of 9 or more should send an enquiry instead. Book early in summer: the Bull has rooms, and residents get hungry too.

Can you get a private chef in Beaumaris?
Yes, and it can be easier than finding one restaurant that seats everyone. Since July 2025, eight groups booking our homes near Beaumaris have asked us about a private chef. At Craig Y Don, you can arrange private dining and a chef upon request. Tell us when you book, not on the day.
Further afield: Menai Bridge and Red Wharf Bay
Sosban and the Old Butchers
Sosban and the Old Butchers holds a Michelin star and sits in a former butcher's shop in Menai Bridge, 10 minutes' drive from Beaumaris. Dinner features a nine-course menu that will surprise you at £175 a head, Thursday to Saturday. It is great for a 40th. It is less useful for a stag do.
Dylan's
Dylan's, on the Menai Bridge waterfront, suits a group better. It serves seafood and pizza and is open daily.
The Ship Inn and the Tavern on the Bay
The Ship Inn sits on the shore at Red Wharf Bay, with its own car park and dogs allowed in by the fire. The Tavern on the Bay, on the same bay, serves Welsh beef, lamb, and fish, with dogs welcome on the terrace. Both are about 20 minutes' drive from Beaumaris.
