Every home on this page is in Hibernation Mode until March. That means three things. Book two nights at the weekend and a third is on us. Go during the week, book three and we add a fourth, free. And checkout is noon, changeovers permitting, so the last morning is a lie-in, not a scramble. You arrive to heating on, the log basket full and the hot tub already warm. These are the homes made for this weather, boltholes for two to whole-gang houses, Anglesey to the Dales. The weather will probably be terrible. That is rather the point. No code needed: the discount applies automatically on qualifying stays.

Cosy autumn and winter holiday cottages with hot tubs and log burners
Hibernation Mode is the Birch Stays winter season: design-led holiday cottages and houses across Anglesey, North Wales, the Peak District, the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District and the Cotswolds, set up for the cold months rather than braving them. Think hot tubs steaming in the December air, log burners with the basket already full, heating on before you pull up and a midday checkout instead of the usual 10am, changeovers permitting. Every home in the collection comes with an extra night on us, and they range from boltholes for two to houses that fit the whole gang, so a rainy weekend for two and a big family birthday both have somewhere to go all winter.
Winter is not the off season here. It is the point. The hot tub steams better at four degrees, the pub has the fire going, and nobody checks out before noon.
How the offer works
The extra night works one of two ways. At weekends, book two nights and a third night is free, three nights for the price of two. During the week, book three nights and a fourth is added on us, four for the price of three. One offer applies per booking, on off-peak dates through to 26 March; Christmas, New Year and the half terms are excluded and stay at full rate.

Terms and Conditions
Weekend offer (3 for 2): book two consecutive nights at a participating home and a third consecutive night is free.
Weekday offer (4 for 3): book three consecutive midweek nights (Monday to Thursday) and a fourth consecutive midweek night is free.
Both apply to new bookings at birchstays.com on tagged homes, and to Airbnb bookings where the price is adjusted by message before booking, for stays completed between 14 September 2026 and 26 March 2027, excluding 24 October to 1 November 2026, 18 December 2026 to 3 January 2027, and 13 to 21 February 2027.
The 12pm checkout applies at participating homes in the same period, subject to same-day changeovers and excluding Friday departures.
