The Pines

The Pines

This pair of beautifully designed seaside retreats have been carefully renovated by Birch Stays to host larger group stays for up to 17+2 guests. The Coach House and the Cottage share the same private grounds lined by pine trees, and joint booking is possible (subject to availability), making the Pines the perfect location for your holiday with friends or family.

Located on top of the hill overlooking Bull Bay, the two houses have been dressed to provide a high level of comfort and sociable living spaces to enjoy with family and friends. The external character of the houses is complemented by contemporary interior design. Flooded by natural light, the open living areas are finished in warm natural textiles and patterns that provide a relaxing ambience.

Whilst the houses enjoy their own individual privacy, they are the ideal destination for larger get-togethers with seating for all guests in The Cottage dining area and on the extensive outside decking areas.

The Coach House (sleeps up to 7 guests)

You are welcomed into a separate entrance lobby, adorned by the original bay window, also providing the perfect decamping area – to clean up after a busy day of holiday activities at the beach or elsewhere!

The main living space is accessed via the lounge snug and provides a relaxing and comfortable setting both in daytime and the evening, including a large L-shaped sofa. Through the lounge you step down into the open plan kitchen/dining area, with an inbuilt dining banquette. The adjoining sliding doors open directly onto the private decking area.

The kitchen is also connected to the decking area by a hatched window, forming an attractive serving area to the hot tub. The fully equipped kitchen, including wine cooler and downward extractor fan, is complemented by the accessible utility room.

There is a spacious double bedroom just off the main entrance area, with level access for all guests. Upstairs, the master super-king bedroom has double velux windows to ensure ample light and a sense of space. The family bathroom encloses a rainforest shower and has sweeping views across to the coastline and Irish Sea. Adjoining the landing area is a study nook offering the perfect quiet spot for reading or as a holiday office space. The final well-lit bedroom provides a triple bunk bed for up to 3 children or 2 adults.

The Cottage (sleeps up to 10 guests)

You are welcomed through a separate entrance lobby linked to a fully equipped utility room. With an adjoining WC, this provides a very practical decamping area for cleaning up after a busy day at the beach or elsewhere!

You then enter the main entertaining space, encompassing a large open lounge, kitchen and dining area. Direct access to the adjoining private decking gallery is provided by the sliding glass doors along one wall. Two full-height windows line the south-west elevation of the house to make for a well-lit open space. The two full height windows ensures the perfect backdrop for relaxing nights whilst the L shaped sofa provides a warm and cosy living area all year round.

Located off the main living area are super-king bedroom and a double bedroom, with a large family bathroom adjoining. If required, Birch Stays can set up this double bedroom as a separate home office space.

Upstairs, the master super-king bedroom enjoys a stylish en-suite shower room, while dormer windows provide sweeping views over Bull Bay and the Irish Sea. Across the landing there is a comfortable and bright 4-bunk bedroom and a hidden kids den. Alternatively, this bedroom can sleep up to 4 adult who may not need the kids den!

The Grounds

Through the sliding doors of both houses there are private decking and paved areas overlooking Bull Bay. Each decking area is equipped with a hot tub, outdoor mood lighting, dining table and BBQ – the ideal relaxation spaces for those long summer nights.
